This creation is a deep black urushi lacquer dial created by lacquer
master Isshu Tamura and his team, who practice a centuries-old art –
one older than watchmaking itself – to craft urushi lacquer that gains
in strength as the years pass.
With the dual-curved sapphire crystal, the watch has a slimmer
appearance on the wrist than many previous creations in the series.
This creation comes on a handsome five-link stainless steel bracelet
with super-hard coating.
Presage Craftsmanship Series. Offering the finest in Japanese
mechanical watchmaking, the Presage Collection blends precision
technology with superior craftsmanship and design. Combining
traditional artistry with contemporary styling, this perfectly
balanced timepiece features a rich black dial with minimalist
stick indices to highlight the beauty of the finely wrought
Urushi lacquerwork, as well as a crescent accent on the end of
the second hand symbolizing the importance of the moon
in Japanese aesthetics.
Visible through the screwdown, see-through caseback, the 24-jewel
automatic movement beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per
hour, with an exceptional power reserve of approximately 72 hours
and manual winding capability. Crafted of stainless steel, this
elegant watch also offers a date calendar, dual curved sapphire
crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inner surface,
